Oil and gas construction

Oil and gas complex takes precedence for the Russian economy. The well-being of the country largely depends on its sustainable operation. Development of oil & gas mining and processing industries was never terminated even in the hardest time for the domestic economy. Businesses of our Group were able to firmly establish themselves in the oil and gas construction and gained a reputation as a reliable partner among portfolio investors of the oil & gas sector.

Timeframe for implementation: 2003 to 2009

Client: "Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan", LLC

General contractor: VIS Group

The project envisaged the expansion of production facilities for gas condensate processing at the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant.

Facilities of production reconstruction housed both within the plant and on additionally designated sites.

The production expansion recorded a rise in the output and the depth of raw materials processing, boost in quality and environmental performance of gasolines by increasing the contents of isocomponents and reducing aromatics therein, diversification to an increasing share of high-octane gasolines.

At the facility for the production expansion of the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant, construction and installation materials were supplied and construction works were carried out.

Timeframe for implementation: 2011 to 2012

Investor: Gazprom

Client: "Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk", LLC

General contractor: VIS Group

Works included the site preparation in terms of the arrangement of relief (civil works), a highway establishment, fencing.

The facility experienced the assembly of process equipment and piping, installation of compressor equipment, assembly of piping maintenance platforms, electrical work - installation of supports and suspension of 6-10 kV overhead cables. Major construction facilities were as follows: unit mobile compressor plant, slug catching separator unit.

The project also involved the construction and arrangement of power, transport facilities and communication systems and power grids.

Timeframe for implementation: 2011 to 2012

Investor: Gazprom

Client: "Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk", LLC

General contractor: VIS Group

The works included site preparation (earthwork and civil works), partial replacement of process equipment, installation of pipelines, installation of compressor equipment.

Major construction facilities were as follows: gas compressor unit, fuel and pulsed gas preparation unit, fuel and pulsed gas preparation shop, gas cooler, in-site process piping. The project also involved the construction and arrangement of power, transport facilities and communication systems, external networks and structures of water, heat and gas supply, sewage, ancillary and service facilities, landscaping and gardening of the area.

Timeframe for implementation: 2009

Client: "Gazprom dobycha Orenburg", LLC

General contractor: VIS Group

The project's objective was to boost gas and condensate production, connection of 80 wells to a unified system of gas supply to the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant.

The works included: piping and construction of 80 wells, construction of prefabricated pipe manifolds, construction of gas and methanol pipelines between wells, LPG with connecting them to the GPP, cathodic protection, instrumentation, telemechanics, (excavation, welding and assembly, construction, insulation-laying work).

Laying 140 km of pipelines was performed with the use of horizontal directional drilling.

Timeframe for implementation: 2007 to 2009

Client: "Gazprom Invest South", JSC

General contractor: VIS Group

The project provided the construction of facilities and structures of the underground gas storage station at the new site to reach out to higher technological parameters.

The project involved earthwork and civil works, as well as replacement of some part of process equipment, installation of pipelines, installation of compressor equipment. As a result of work carried out at the facility, the total storage area grew to 9.9 billion m3, the working gas volume rose to 7 bln m3.

Timeframe for implementation: 2012 to 2014

Customer: Government institution of the Krasnodar Krai “Fuel and energy complex facilities management agency”

General contractor:VIS Group

The project provided for installation of the low-pressure gas pipeline of about 385 km in the Adlersky district of Sochi. The gas pipeline was laid in the following communities: Krasnaya Polyana, Mirny, Estosadok, the state farm Russia", Lipniki, Kepsha, Chvizhepse, Chereshnya, Vardane-Verino, Yuzhnye Kultury, Blinovo, Krasnaya Volya, Veseloye, Verkhnenikolayevskoye, Medoveyevka, Dubravny, Bestuzhevskoye, Kozachy Brod, Lesnoye, Yermolovka, Khadyzhenskaya str., Kaspiyskaya str., Bakinskaya str., Vysokoye, Galitsino, Monastyr, Moldovka, Akhshtyr, Nizhnyaya Shilovka, Verkhneveseloye, Kashtany.

The gas infrastructure development in rural communities solved a set of economic and social issues in the Adler district, such as better working conditions, improvement of living conditions that should decrease migration rates of rural population to cities.

Specificity of the project was that the low-pressure gas pipeline passed through the areas with dangerous geological phenomena, water barriers and ravines, roads, a large quantity of existing utilities laid in a single land acquisition corridor, including its intersection. The work area was located within the Greater Caucasus mountain system, Mzymta River and Imeretinsky Valley. On the territory of mountain areas such dangerous geologic processes as shear landslides and lateral erosion were observed. Moreover, the gas pipeline route passes through the residential areas, streets, alleys, side streets built-up with private houses, which also complicates the project implementation. The works were performed in constrained environment related to the very narrow streets and driveways, presence of existing amenities on the territory. In this regard, the project also provided the related works besides the main ones: removal and subsequent reinstating of road surface in the work area.

The gas pipeline was located in the seismic zone, where the seismicity level was 9 points. In this regard, the polyethylene pipes with increased safety factor of 2.8 were used during construction, 100% butt joint control using physical methods was also provided.

The gas network construction was performed by PC VIS, LLC on its own and by the involved contracting organizations consisting of mobile units equipped with necessary construction equipment, vehicles, equipment and labor saving tools. As the result, 1144 houses were connected to the gas supply system.
